Idk if it’s just me, but after changing my character’s hairstyle I noticed that it became extremely reflective. In my character select screen it looks good, but once I log in and look at my hero panel and my character in game, it’s a lot more reflective. Is this intended?

His hair is supposed to be dark red, and I could understand if it was a little shiny, but idk… Does anyone else think this is a bit too shiny? _

It seems to be this way on most dark colors with this hairstyle, too. Whites and blondes seem to look fine to me, though. Is there a chance the reflectiveness could be toned down a bit here? It’s so hard to look at like this. XD

( Or is this just a matter of my computer and I’ve just made a fool of myself? :P )

Ok I’m gonna take a stab at this with very laymen knowledge (not a pro).

When 3D objects are made in a program they are usually a flat gray object and after applying a texture it is rendered together for the final look in the program. If a light source is not also parented to the object it will usually render out dark and undefined.

So part of the reflection your seeing is most likely the light source that is parented to the hair object or texture (it can be applied to either or both).

Hope that helps and other than that your avatar looks like a cute little rascal.

My asura’s hair is black, but shines silvery-gray on some graphics settings. I think I made it look dark again by turning off shaders (but it might have been something else). Try tweaking your settings and see if you like the look better.
