Guild Wars 2

Hi guys, I started to play GW2 today, I am trying to finish everything in a map but I don’t know how to see my map progression. I asked someone in game, she said I could see that while I press “M”, it’s at the right top hand corner. But I don’t see that, while I press M, I only see the map, no waypoint/hero point…etc progression please help me, thanks!

It should be in the upper left corner of the map when in game, upper right (I think) on the character select screen. It may be that it won’t show for you until you are a certain level because they redesigned things to avoid all that “confusing” information for new players.

It might also help if you go Esc —> Options —> Content Guide, and set Content Guide to “Hide Events and Personal Story.” Then, the arrow on the top right of your screen should point you to what you need.

(But don’t forget to change it back when you decide to do your story!)

Pressing M will show you the number of waypoints, hero points, points of interest and hearts that are on each map and how many of them you have completed. Putting your mouse cursor over each of them will highlight the ones you have not found yet if you have explored the part of the map they are in. Your compass should also point to something you haven’t did yet or to an area of the map you have not explored yet.

If you need your completion for a specific zone, when you’re on the map screen, hover over the name, and it should display the completion elements for that zone, regardless of which zone you’re in.
