Superior Rune of Divinity
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing.
It has high demand because it’s the go-to rune for people who can’t decide or aren’t willing to go for a specialized rune.
…watch them add a crafting recipe finally and it ends up costing 15 charged quartz, lol.
But yeah they have to kind of limit the quantity of them. And it’s not b/c it’s “too Good”. Plain old Berserkers/Rubies is Too Good. Divinity is just something that too many people THINK is really really good when it’s not. They’d have nothing else to Grind for if they got them all too quickly and then they’d just stop playing before getting experienced enough to learn that it’s actually NOT that good. …yeah, sounds like contorted logic but it’s just the truth about Anet’s Contorted metas…

Looks like 13G per. Must be good for something. Or specializing is the best strat?

They’re rare, in terms of acquisition. Specializing is always better. There is literally no reason to use Divinity runes over a different choice. I think they’re popular because for a long time, people had the idea that they were the ‘go to’ rune set for DPS. If you want to focus on damage, Scholar runes or Ruby orbs.
I’d make the argument that you should just be gearing for full damage anyway, but it gets pretty boring repeating the same thing over and over. “Play how you want to play”.
People seem to think that the rune is useless, however when seeking a balanced build, trying to get the mathematically perfect stats is hard. I’ve found that Divinity Runes help achieve the small boost that you cannot achieve on your own which allows you to allocate stats elsewhere.
Low supply, moderate demand (despite the fact that a lot of people will tell you that they’re useless).
The low supply is a fact, though. And that pushes the price up.
I have never found an item with a Superior Rune of Divinity to allow me to extract the rune. That should answer your question.

Neither have I. And if I had, I’d sell it in a flash, as I prefer more specialized runes to balance my builds.
