Well, looks like ANeT “fixed” the ability to swap weapons and not keep your stacks if you actually remove the weapon. Okay, that kind of makes sense. However, here is a lack of logic to this.

I decided to experiment by getting my stacks with my harpoon gun. I got all 25 stacks and got out of the water. I kept my stacks, of course – I still have the harpoon gun in my armaments for water.

I then decided to swap out my short bow that also has the same sigil to my greatsword that also has the same sigil. Bam, stacks gone. What kind of logic does that make? I achieved the stacks with my harpoon gun, not the other two weapons. Why should my stacks go away. Please explain the logic behind this, ANeT?

I know the why, but in this case your reasons don’t match. If the other weapons didn’t have the stacking sigil, would I have been able to keep my stacks if I changed out a weapon completely?

The whole Sigil-stacking mechanic is pretty lame anyway. I just wish they’d do away with it and focus on active effects and proccs.

I wish Anet would make up their mind and stop screwing with things like this. If a stacking sigil is intended to reset upon entering water and changing to underwater weapons then really anet should just remove stacking sigils and replace them with something different.
