Which one is better to use for clearing conditions? Let’s say I’m on an elementalist or engineer so not being able to swap weapons isn’t an issue.

Equipping a kit or swapping attunement counts as a weapon swap I believe.

You will have more control over cleansing. Purity has to be considered passive because everything you do tends to be a hit, and it becomes a duplicate of the signet. I’d recommend purity for ranger, mesmer, guardian, necro, and cleansing for engi, ele, thief, and warrior. It’s all situational and varies on a build and case by case basis.

I for one use Sigil of Cleansing.
