Support to the Belgian people
That is a great picture, and heartfelt gesture. Their hearts and mind were in the right place that is what matters, if people forget or ignore that these terrible events occur it only adds to a tragedy.
Honesty is not insulting, stupidity is.

If you wish to share your thoughts on the tragedy in Belgium, you may do so here.
Please note that others may feel this is an unusual post for a game forum. However, there are Guild Wars 2 players in Belgium. In fact, I have personal friends whom I met through Guild Wars who live in Belgium, just as I have friends in other places hard-hit by terrorist acts.
In the end, let’s think first as human beings. Let’s keep this thread civil, kind, and supportive, please. If you are not inclined to post with consideration, do not post at all.
My thoughts are with Brussels and all of Belgium at this sad time.

That was a very kind gesture. Love and hope to everyone affected by recent attacks, in all the countries of the world.
It’s happening in other places in the world, people should take notice of that aswell, pray for a better and safer world for everyone.

Just a thought… How about dying your armor in black, yellow, and red for the next few days if you’re willing to show support (or empathy)?

Small as it may be, I actually think this is a meaningful gesture. I think I’ll be doing it this week.
Sad day for humanity.
respect to guild above.

This. Just over a week ago a bomb killed 37 people and wounded over 100 others in Turkey.

I guess it did not get as much attention due to the location. We should all hope for an end to this madness and pray for those killed and the families that suffer because of it.
We should also pray for the safety of those that are placing themselves on the front line to fight the terrorists that commit such acts.

The shock and pain felt by the citizens of the noble nation of Belgian will surely give way to firm resolve to prevent those whom undertook such vileness from repeating their actions. The victims shall be remembered solemnly and prayers of comfort for their loved ones offered.
Well done, OP. Thank you for sharing this.
As both a Belgian and a former guild member, you guys are still amazing <3. Heartwarming to see this :-)
Every bombing is an unnecessary tragedy, no matter what the country. I am worried about my Belgian friend. But I have also met nice people from Turkey and Paris.
To everyone affected by these terrible deeds, I wish you strength to bear this burden and hope for a better future. And I wish the same for everyone who has lost a person to death for whatever the reason. For every life lost is a tragedy.
i am from Belgium, this struck our country to the hardest, the intentions of what we did in the game in order to make such a photo was with the most respect for my country, in every country these days is the pain IS is leaving very real, but Europe was always left aside from it, now that they after they attacked France attack our small country too, this really aches more, i am sorry for the people in countries where this happens daily, but that was in the beginning also BIG news, all the newspapers made reports of it and it was on the television all day, let me remind you people that although guild wars is about characters in a game, those characters are controlled by human beings who have feelings and want to express themselves, so this gesture what they also did for France is only the gesture from them who are kind and have respect for humanity. this has nothing to do with racism or anything cause in guild wars we are all the same and united. you see in every guild many races from all countries in the world. i want to ask you all to be kind and understanding for this thread Stuffles made as it was with the best intentions. thank you all for your moment of time
My heart is with the people of Belgium. I was in NYC during 9/11 and I understand the raw pain and the damage caused by these attacks. There is nothing anyone can say to take away the pain, but know that the rest of the world stands with you at this time. The people of Belgium do not suffer alone. I weep with you.
These may simply be pixels but, it means a lot to us Belgians.
These attacks were so uncalled for, we were left speechless but we reacted as we always do: with strength and humour. As one of our humorists said: they could have struck half the population, we would have mocked them saying “you can only do half the job!”
We stand strong, and knowing that you are all with us make it easier to endure.
But we are not the ones to feel sorry for: everyday, people around the world are victims of such barbaric attacks. Let’s just pray that, one day, we will get rid of violence and unjustified attacks!

I am from Belgium too. My thought are with the families who lost someone, had familie members close to the attack, and the insured people.
No to pure hate like this! It’s meaningless. Our prime minister said, we can never let the terrorists win! Never give in to fear. And he’s correct. I even took the train that very day. My mom was scared, but the train was far enough from Brussel, and i’m not digging myself in kitten. No to fear!
Also thank you from anyone around the world for the good wishes. It helps more then you think. It give people enough condidence to unite against blind hate.

I am from Belgium myself and I really appreciate this gesture. My thoughts are with the families who lost someone, the people who were involved and everyone else in both Belgium as outside our borders.
Unfortunately there are attacks similar to this on a regulary basis, though not all of them will recieve media coverage. Let’s not forget about all the others who suffer from similar attacks and wars. This is a time to unite, come together and pray so we may all live in a peaceful world.
We are all human in the end, we are all family and no matter who is suffering or where, we are all somehow affected by it and connected. Let’s not forget that, and let’s not act out of hate but out of love.
Thank you again and my prayers are with all who suffer in this world.
Thank you all for your thoughtful comments.
