Surveys
Yes they fear what we might say. blabla
Currently playing Heart of Thorns.
The surveys would have to be in-game surveys. I remember Trion Worlds did this for Rift.
A survey on the forum would be a disaster. Email surveys have very low response.

A lot of game developers send out frequent surveys. Why not? Customer satisfaction is paramount. I actually received one this morning for a different game, which got me thinking…arenanet should do the same.
i think they should do both. send in game surveys, and then a second email survey to people who haven’t logged in for over a month or two to see why those people decided to leave. it would go a long way toward improving the game as a whole.
i highly doubt that it will happen though, because it would require them to actually view the playerbase as people, instead of just credit card numbers being fed into the cash shop.

what gear grind? living story is still in experimental phase…and grind in general? im playing almost a year now and i havent grinded single moment, please show me where that grind is i want to visit it
Survey are mostly sent when company ship is sinking, and they are trying to fix things in hurry but that is always last gasp. GW2 is doing fine so i guess that is reason why there is no survey…

Grind for achieves, minis from living story, legendary, etc.
And no, wrong about the survey. Games send them out even in beta. Companies that have support want to know whats going on.
They sent a survey after the Lost Shores incident, so no they are definitely not afraid to know what their playerbase thinks, Mr. Cessmode.
