Goshdarn it, I got Black Citadel. FAIL.

Got killed 4 times by reef riders
Lucky for me some people helped me back up.

I might try it again from where I was portalled to, and make my way back without using the cheapshot portal in Black Citadel

Awesome item. Wish I had known about this years ago. Use this item with a teleport to friend and now try and find your way back with your friend.

Its not as easy as it sounds . I made a new chara, went to where the portal took me too, ankitten ow about to try and cross Snowden with a level 3…

I hadn’t seen this at the time but mine would have been easy: it took me to the Black Citadel.

Thats where I got taken to. So now I am trying to get back without using the LA portals from any racial city.

Hah, managed it with 9 deaths (2 totally avoidable)

Black Citadel, Diessa, Wayfarers, Snowden, Gendarran, LA.

Did this with my bf and he used a teleport to friend to get to our random location. We used out level 38~ish characters and hoped for high level areas- we figured it’d be more worth our time if we also got some waypoints in areas we will explore eventually!

He used his first, gave us Caledon Forest and a waypoint we already had. Now in hindsight, we probably could’ve had an epic journey to LA anyways, running through unexplored areas (although we would’ve been high enough level to not be one-shotted).

I used mine and it ported me to the bottom of Sparkfly Fen, near the Teq waypoint. We stood just underneath the vista that’s next to the research lab there.

Needless to say, we were very under-levelled and we were one shot a few times each of us. It certainly would’ve been more difficult if we were level 1 characters and didn’t have any skills to use as mobility or as a bit of a safety-net. Sparkfly fen was quite a challenge- lots of danger there and constant re-routing to avoid the nasties. Bloodtide was very fast-paced… foes everywhere, but we managed to run past the majority.

Thanks for the awesome idea! Might try it again with the “Teleport to Friend” item, just pick a location very far away from your goal destination. It’d be quite fun to try to go from the most eastern tip to the most western, or most northerly right they way to the bottom of orr.

I have kept a couple of dozen of these since way back when and I give them to people as gifts, with this exact challenge. It’s a great idea (and fun for those willing to risk it).
