SweetFX - How to make it work!
It doesn’t work for me anymore either…
I just use the SMAA injector, and nope, stopped working for me after the patch.
The game looks horribly blurred with the built in AA, such a shame…
Broke for me as well
Someone say game crash must be related to OOM
when you read the log it’s not related to that whatsoever…
No dice here. Tried reapplying, tried deleting files, now I can’t even apply the files again. Waiting on a SweetFX update I guess, game is so blurry and crap looking.

Copy the following files to the bin subdirectory:
d3d9.dll , dxgi.dll and injector.ini
restart game.
I Just wonder WHY did they removed it, they told t was OK
EDIT: Spydor – trying now

Fix works, thank you OP for the thread and thanks Spydor! Game is now playable again!
is it just me or SweetFx doesn’t work anymore after the update?
SOLVED

d3d9.dll , dxgi.dll and injector.ini

Just did this and it worked… I copied those files into the bin folder in the guildwars 2 install directory and it fixed it ! Thanks man you ROCK!!!!!
I tried this and now guildwars 2 just crashes… what gives?
Confirmed working fix, thanks OP and Spydor.
This makes GW2 unable to launch until I once again remove the d3d9.dll from the bin folder.

Just tried it and I got in just fine. Maybe your SweetFX versions are old?
Worked for me too. Great thanks !
GW2 is already a beautiful game by itself, but it looks so dull without my SweetFX. Can’t live without the improved sharpening, bloom, lighting and contrast.
Moving the files to then bin folder worked at first, but after latest patch (12 sep) the game crashes immediately. After removing the files from bin GW2 starts again.

Thanks for the tip, but I checked. Newest version.
Seems there are a few people for whom it doesn’t work even when moving the files.
Hoping for a solution by someone smarter than me :-)
I’ve been using 1.51 since before the patch. When I heard about the Sept. 12’th patch breaking it again, I deleted the three key files from the \bin\ folder before launching the game. Launched, patched, entered game. Closed game, dropped files back into \bin\, launched, repatched, entered game. No hiccups.
moved the d3d9.dll file in and out of the bin directory and relaunched gw2 every move i made..
eventually it worked.. no idea what did the trick..
hope it helps
:) XD

I add that you might have to remove the game (use the ‘Remove game’ button), and add it again (‘Add new game’).
deletes sweetfx and punches up the color on monitor
oh look, it’s working super efficient now.. >_>
can sweetFX make a super low graphic setting, like really low low. and make it look like settings were high?
when you screenshot, does the screenshot shoot the non sweetFX image or the sweetFX image?
Easy way:
d/l SweetFX configurator from http://sweetfx.thelazy.net/
add GW2.exe to it
click game settings and enable Split install, make sure the split path points to “Guild Wars2\bin” click Save settings
click add SweetFX
configure Effects
click Save Config
Play
for I shall not change.
download this file, add it to the bin folder where you have GW2 installed and done.
i had a problem with some things not added in the DLL and this was because of the newest nvidia experience version, this DLL file will fix this.
don’t worry, i already tested this with 2 different high profile virus scanners and it’s save, if your virus scanner is alarming you it’s false alarm.
