I realized it awhile ago, but it for some reason the thought keeps popping into my head. The first two sword autos for human females look like they should be swapped. Hear me out!
Her default stance has her blade held in her right hand, on her right side.
The first auto makes her right arm move all the way over (very quickly… almost teleporting) to her left side, and swing the blade back to her right, where it was previously “at rest.” So her initial stance starts with her blade on the right, but she starts the attack from the left.
The second auto starts from her right side, and slashes over to her left side.
The third stab auto starts from the right side, so after the second auto, she has to bring her arm all the way back to her right side, then wind up for the thrust.

Would it not makes sense if the chain started with the second auto’s animation (which starts on the right side… where she holds her blade in the default combat stance), then went into the first auto’s animation (no need to “teleport” her arm to that spot anymore, as the previous auto puts the blade in the correct position for this auto to make sense) into the thrust (which can now start without delay as she no longer has to take her arm all the way from the left side back to the right)
Yes. This is an EXTREMELY minute nitpick. But I feel like the animation chain just doesn’t really fit in a sensible order. Go check it out for yourself. Maybe I’m just nuts.
PS— Male greatsword animations have the character swing from the left (starting from the opposite side) as well, but there’s enough windup to make it seem more deliberate.
PSS— Not saying the animations look bad… I really just need to something to tide myself over while waiting for HoT
