Sylvari & The Grove, more distinction!
They are not really similar at all to humans, other than their body-forms.
The whole culture and their personalities is very different from that of humans in the game.

I think Sylvari are perfectly balanced when it comes to similarities/differences to humans.
Sylvari are strongly tied to nature and they are born with something that they are driven to complete (I think the analogy is “like an itch you can’t scratch”). They feel that their lives are predetermined for them and that they must fulfil this- it’s largely beyond their control.
Humans I get the opposite vibe, they like to make their own path and set goals for themselves. They like to control and be in charge.
Sylvari, if I’m not wrong, were modelled after humans in the Guild Wars lore, which is why they resemble humans. However, although they may be modelled after humans, aesthetically they are very different and I think that the customisability is wonderful.
One thing I would like more of is more race specific armour. Not necessarily cultural armour, but armour which looks different depending on which race wears it (the Cook’s outfit, for instance). It would be nice to have a larger variety of leafy and plant-like armour for Sylvari (there’s just cultural, TA armour and an outfit). I doubt that race-dependent armour will come soon though as it takes a lot of development to create one armour with 5-10 different skins.
