Because we are stuck in overflow while guests kill our Tequatl the Sunless. T.T

I’ve never gone out looking for these events, but due to the new loot drops, a buddy convinced me to come try one out. I was disappointed to be stuck in overflow while he killed Tequatl. I think natives should have main map priority, put guests in the overflow.

Its pretty dumb. I dont understand guesting to TC for it.
Yes the TC server is pretty awesome.
No there will not be a noticeable difference for the dragons beyond horrible crippling lag, which is not a good thing.

Honestly the day I actually decided to go hardcore dragon slaying I just guested to servers with the dragons coming up in ~10 minutes. Easiest dragon kills of my life. Much less lag, no wait time, same rewards.

I want to say that there were multiple sites before guesting went live, that provided posts/polls for people to chose a designated pve server to guest on. I believe TC always won that.

Perhaps before guesting went live it was a good idea in thinking.. your server would always be active. But now you see how many go over it seems to be excessive? Idk I stay on my server- I guested the first few days on TC and SoS starter areas. seemed to be about the same- guess it picked up.

Kind of like all the people that went to a few servers for WvW for some reason in this game the players like to cram into as tight of space as possible regardless of the negative things that could happen.

It’s not even like lag in these fights now, it’s more like perpetual d/c limbo.

Even if they were to turn guesting completely off, there would still be overflows.

There are more people on your server than can fit into one zone at a time.

I’m amazed all these threads are popping up at once, as if behind some collective effort.

Sanctum of Rall is having the same issues.

Our players can’t get into to do dragons and the ones that can are suffering terrible lag problems. One auto attack every 4 seconds and complete skill lockout.

WvW is also extremely laggy at the moment as well. Constant hooking while traveling the maps even if no combat is near.

Guesting is not the issue on high population servers for the overflow, the high population and the allure of the new drop rates of event chests are. Guesting allows a small number to be added to the huge numbers from the server already there to be added. On a server such as TC for example, there where plenty of times you would be in overflow on any sort of map due to high population, before guesting. Simply making it so you can only get the event chests on your home server is fine and will remove some people from joining other servers for only that reason but it will not stop the lag or overflow ‘issue’, which btw is only an issue due to people using the timer system to find out exactly where and when to go.

Make server residents have priority, even if it means kicking guests to the overflow. Server residents can join their guesting friends in the overflow at will.

Either that or make guesting invite-only and/or put a 12-24 hour cd on it.

It’s not restricted to TC I’m afraid. It’s happening here on Blackgate too. Poorly implemented update. I’m thinking they should have released it “When it’s ready”…..
