Have a row of tabs in the hero equipment panel, each one stores its own separate set of weapons, armor, and chosen traits.

Tabs for switching to an extra build could be acquired every 40 levels, meaning 3 at level 80, and an extra one after that after every 40 times you level up.

The gem shop could have a consumable which unlocks a new tab before this 40 level interval, the price of which would be up to you as it’s similar to a bag slot unlock.

The maximum number of tabs would also be up for debate.

Switching between tabs may need some kind of channeling time, a large global cooldown on all skills after switching it, or some other such restriction to make it less exploitable.

This was brought up before and I would love to see it or some variation! I have different weapons and so on I want for different situations. Right now I have to go to half a dozen places and hope I got everything right.

I like this idea as well. I would have no problem purchasing a tab that would enable you to switch a build and equipment on the fly (out of combat, obviously). You could load the build in and then add the equipment where it would be stored until needed again.

I would also love to see a wardrobe tab for account bound items that any character can use without having to take it off, dump it in the bank, log new character on, go to bank and get it then get on with playing the game. It would be the perfect thing for Ascended and Legendary items. The other tab I would like to see is one where all our tonics and toys could be stowed. I would use my transformation tonics a lot more and pull out some cool toys if I had ready access to them like we now have with miniatures.

I would absolutely love to see something like this, including the option to buy another tab in the Gem Store.

Definite +1

I think trolls should have their computers smashed. ’Its all part of the game. U mad bro?’

Fast swap gear/build sets would be lovely. Alas, they said soon after the HoT announcement that they agree it would be lovely but are not working on it for HoT. I hope people keep suggesting it along with detailed ideas on the mechanics of the swap so that once ANet has time this change might possibly happen.

One of the myriad of things GW1 did right that GW2 chose not to implement.

This makes a lot of sense. Especially in PVP where I’m always going from build to build.

…and nobody knows why they chose not to implement these very useful things. ~shrugs~
