Guild Wars 2

I’ve completed the Called to Service mission twice and get to the end, where Gavin says that his wounds have weakened him, and the mission log says I have to Talk To Gavin. But no matter how much I click on him, the talk never activates and I cannot complete the mission. When I try to walk away and come back, it says I’m going to be kicked from the instance.

I even tried letting myself get kicked and came back — and I had to do the entire mission over again. It hung at the same spot — can’t talk to Gavin as he stands there at the mouth of the cave.

I assume I’m missing something and that it’s not a bug… so what am I missing? (Or IS it a bug?)

I’m having the same problems… at least I’m not the only one totally lost and confused.

Glad I’m not alone, I guess. Because of your response, I also posted this as a question in the Game Bugs subforum. No responses as of this writing.

This is probably too late, but I just had this problem and found this forum and I think that I figured it out. I reset the instance but this time I made sure to clear out EVERYTHING that was inside before I began the actual quest and it let me talk to Gavin. Maybe that’s how you solve it or maybe it was just a freak fix for me. Anyhow, I figured I’d post this just in case anybody else goes looking.
