I will admit, I was scepticle of an entire server RP’ing. I thought people were exaggerating……..my god was I wrong. Bravo to you guys, bravo.

Hahah. Really one of the best RP server’s I’ve been on in my MMO career. If I emote after an event, I almost always get a response from another RPer and all of a sudden it ain’t about whackin’ those monsters anymore.

Tarnished Coast, US server

Ugh. This pains me to hear. I’m on Piken Square, which is the EU RPing server and sadly, its not as densely populated as TC. Sometimes you’ll find yourself alone doing events in the wild and due to the large WvW contingent, not quite everyone RPs anyway.

But we’re still awesome. And our events are awesome. ^.^

Piken Square has a reasonably active RP contingent, so if you’re not on there already, you could always pop over and see if you enjoy it there.

There is actually a thread in the WvW forums about best reputed servers and TC seems to be a favorite for a lot of people in WvW as well, they must be doing something right

I love Tarnished Coast. People tend to be very helpful to boot. Overall, the community tends to be very mature. While I don’t RP to the degree some do, I always join the RP servers because of the reasons I said earlier.

So far, my experience says it’s still true.

Anyhow! Can we pull some RPers from TC, PWEEEEEEASE? We’re in need of better populations for the people here in PS!

((Seriously, night RP is nice, but we need more people to come in with life! EU players, come on! Guest and RP around~))

If there’s anyone on TC that feels they’re getting lost in the crowd, or is just looking for a different kind of RP, come check us out. There’s a lot of criminal scambling now the big boss is down, we have active guilds for every Order and we’re beginning to spread out a lot more. ^.^

I’m going to have to guest on TC sometime, just out of curiosity.

My god…I should guest to this server as soon as my net speed goes back to normal (Dling a lot of stuff and it’s not what you think). Who knew that there would be an Rp server in GW2 (Regardless of being official).

TC is my home server; take a stroll around Divinity’s Reach and gawk at the amount of RP going on from every corner.

Aside from the teeth-grinding people using would in every emote instead of just doing it, it’s quite inspiring.

That is very surprising! So not only will the RPing be restricted in selected instances but also in other random instances? This server is definitely in one of my checklist now

It really is everywhere. I once went into Southsun while the Perma-Rich-Ori was still there and encountered two people running by. I asked if they were here for the Orich, they asked an IC question, and what followed was a period where three people, in-character, went for the Rich Orichalcum Node.

It was fun.

I have guested there a couple times before, and went to DR, but i rarely saw anyone RP’ing. I only saw one person walking instead of running. Are most of you sure you aren’t exaggerating?

I’m from SoS, and heard about TC that being an unofficial RP server from my friend, I was interested and guesting in TC a lot now.

I was surprised there are RPers too on PVE maps that rarely visited like Iron Marches, i wish i can transfer my account to TC, but i don’t really have that kind of gold, so i keep guesting to enjoy the fun !

So many brilliant, friendly, happy people. It speaks volumes about the beautiful way that a friendly community can mesh with a game that is built around cooperation, seeing people play together on Tarnished Coast.
I really hope that Arenanet adds some more RP-oriented tools to the game. Some new emotes, or the ability to interact with objects like chairs and benches, at the least.

I’ve been on TC since prelaunch. It’s awesome.

I hope so too. My current char®s are annoyed by the inability to express body language effectively (Especially given how many are supposed to be show-offs).

I find that TC has more quantity, Piken Square has more quality. I region hop depending on what I am looking for
