Taxis on LFG kills the game...
I don’t know why people feel the need to do that, why can’t you document yourself about the events and the tactics, builds that works best for your class before? Even a video is enough, and there’s the new squad system which makes it even easier, it’s very obvious that the hardest thing to achieve is to make people work with each other, not the actual events themselves…
I just said that after wasting my time again for TT, and I just want for everyone out there to succeed in these kind of events, so LFG isn’t a taxi fest anymore with people waiting like hyenas just to steal the others food…
The need to do that comes form the crappy megaserver not putting ppl into none full maps be for making more
so i suppose you can say the game is killing the game ?

Hmm yeah, but let’s be honest, even if they get rid of it, people will do what they did 2 years ago when Tequatl got revamped, which means logging in a different server like Desolation for the same reasons.

Not get rid of it; they need to change it so the mega server stops opening new maps when there are already a lot of low population maps. Maps should all first hard cap (or nearly hard cap) so before the sever opens a new one. But it doesn’t so you have to taxi people in. Which means there’s a a lot of map shards created for TT around reset spawn time. And more than half of those maps get cleared out as people are using taxi to get to a full map so there’s a lot of maps that are near empty as they take around an hour or more to close.
Apparently megaserver grouping was hard coded with server population ages ago rather than actively update. Populated servers will have no issues. However, even with megaserver servers with low population always have maps under populated. ANet should have delicates people to oversee player QoL including LFG, Megaserver, event gating, etc.
Nah its cool, I prefer to have a few full maps than a bunch of underpopulated garbage maps. The only reason you wasted time on TT is because you didn’t taxi into a good map.
because unless you like doing the meta with you and 2 others, you may want to get into a map where people are actively trying to complete the meta.
If someone actively seeks out and joins a taxi for an event they are more likely to participate and increase the chance of succeeding than if you had a 200 full map full of people off pursuing their own interests or AFK etc. Taxiing is a good thing. I’ve seen people post on map chat for everyone to come meet for the meta, and a couple people even respond with “Make me”.
As for Triple Trouble, this is undoubtedly the most difficult open world content boss in the game due to the sheer amount of co-ordination required. This is not a Taxi problem, this is simply a difficulty problem. Mere taxis and a quick explanation isn’t enough. By accident I found that a guild called “Evolved Jungle Wurm Scouts” [EVOS] would host a highly organised run once per day. Once I learned what time they hosted it, I looked for the [EVOS] tagged taxi, and joined each day. There were three commanders from the guild in each run, and they would give a highly detailed explanation and lead us to victory each time. I highly recommend looking into them.
There is usually only 1 full map where people are doing events. Most events take group participation. You can not solo this content(HoT)
It is not the players fault , its the game designers. There are games from the 80’s that can manage server population better. I’m sure it’s on the table Just one more reason people are leaving.
I really don’t understand what OP point is. Agree with everyone else, this is players trying to make the useless megaserver code work. GW1 towns worked much better with the drop-down list of instances to select.

Agreed! I get frustrated by needing to either ask for a taxi, or wait for someone else to offer one. (And be lucky/fast enough to grab it before it fills.)
The old district system put the initiative with the Player to target the map you wanted to get into. If district 1 was full, you could tell your party something like “Meet up in district #3”. I’d love to have some control back about getting into the map we want to get into.
