Well, except for the arms part, and the size. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a human sized bird, with arms instead of wings, flying around my yard.

Yah. It’s a pretty good idea. it could be interesting to have a city way up in the sky with updrafts around it to let you glide up to it. I guess they could have gliders also.

Aerie was on the ground. According to the wiki, they used to be able to fly but long ago lost their ability. However, with the invention of airships, helicopters and gliders, they could have sky-based settlements. I remember in the Tarnished Coast there were massive stones suspended in the air which would be pretty cool for Tengu settlements.

Actually, that’s not a too far off idea.

First, their home is called “The Dominion of the Winds”. Second, look at the Zepherite airships, and how they were anchored at the Labyrinthine Cliffs. A larger area built like that could easily be considered a flying or “semi-flying” city.

It’s true that the Tengu wouldn’t have Glint’s magic to help hold the place up, but their apparent love of wind and flying may have lead them to finding other ways to make it work. The Zepherites may have even copied the Tengu designs, which would explain the kite-like styles and use of what appeared to be bamboo.
