pre-megaserver
1st and only attempt: fail (didn’t seem to be enough numbers)

post-megaserver

1st attempt: fail with 1% health remaining
2nd attempt: fail with 70% health remaining
3rd attempt: fail with 98% health remaining lots of scales at the start
4th attempt: success! with about 2 min left on the clock!

(if that’s ok with you OP, if not say, and ill remove this post no problems)

Have I missed something? Wasn’t Sparkfly exempt from the megaserver list for now?

One – Piken Square

Pre-Megaserver – I use to kill teq everyday,
Post-megaserver – I’ve only had 1 kill, failed every other attempt.

People with jobs can’t do Tequatl and Great Jungle anymore in most European countries. The times are awful. They’re either before returning from work or at 4 o’clock at night. 21.00 – 23.00 hours is prime time for adults, not 17.00-19.00 hours.

Basicly what i said before they added the map to megaserver:
Most randoms are unable or unwilling to organise it themselves.
This is why almost every server has(had) its own Tequatl guild.
Now with the Megaserver they can“t function anymore. At least not the way they used to do things. What they mostly lack is the experience with the overflows (the system itself), cross-server guilds/alliances have enough experience with the overflow system (now called megaserver) to continue to function without bigger problems.

Edit: The timer will be reworked, as stated from a community manager on the german forums.

Haven’t killed Teq once since Megaserver while it was basically 100% success before.
Man, i like that low pop zones are more lively but Teq and Wurm seem impossible now.

Weren’t they going to make a guild metaboss summon feature?

But still, Im still convinced that raids, no matter the size, needs to be instanced.

yes, and that feature already works. I did a guild karka queen one of those days after the patch and it actually took noticeably longer than one of these scheduled megaserver karka queens.

The cost of activating these bosses for a guild is massive!

I’m pretty sure ANet has now added ALL zones to the MS system. There were no huge technical issue from preventing this full rollout so they did it ASAP (I’ve not seen an official announcement of this, but I’ve also not encountered an area that is not MS nor have I heard of anyone confirming non-MS zones of late).

Note that “(some) players hate this system!”, is NOT a technical reason that would have prevented full roll out. There are certainly some issues that need some consideration and tweaking (RPers totally “screwed”, Ability to find Temple Event from start, Having to actually search for nodes, etc.), but for the most part, the system does exactly what they wanted (provides well populated zones in all areas of the game).
