Here’s my problem
I can’t guest with my friend because apparently “you can only guest in your home territory.” We both live in Australia, talk to each other face to face, only that on our accounts one says Europe and the other says America. Well it looks like a can’t play with my friend because of this stupid territory thing. What really aggravates me though is the amount of money it will cost to transfer, 2400 gems (for the one they’re in). Theoretically lets pretend I’ve done that. oh but now I can’t play with my friends in the other territory so what I transfer back? I certainly can’t ask that one friend in the other territory to use their money to make me happy.
WHAT DO I DO?

One of you needs to transfer over to the region of the other. Sadly this restriction keeps a lot of players from guesting over and playing with their friends.

Yep, one of you needs to transfer to a world in the other region.
You can transfer for free if you delete all your characters, but that might not be the best course.

Not that this was known from the start or anything…
BUT you could always hope that, when the full implementation of the megaserver system comes along, they’ll offer a discount or even free server changing for a short time. If all else fails, you and your friends on the “correct” server could always collect some gold for the one friend on the “wrong” server to buy gems and transfer, if he doesn’t have enough and it really is a money issue.
