I played beta. I played since pre-release.
I just wanted say what an awesome job you have done so far

I’ll admit, there were some ups and downs. But right now I think that the game is in a great spot.

You have fixed the majority of the bugs across the lands of tyria and rune bonuses
You have made dungeons challenging but fun.
You made world events actually worth doing.
You made guild missions that take us across the land.
You have made an awesome massive pvp environment where I’ve had some of my most memorable moments
You have made a pvp gametype and combat system that I think have potential to become an esport.
You have created content and rewards that cater to both casuals and hardcores.
You have made every part of the world wonderful and rewarding to play.

I love everything, from dungeons to open world to WvW to PvP.

I just wanted to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for everything you have done and all your hard work. I wish I could buy you all a round of beers

Take a minute and reflect upon the wonderful world you have created. I, for one, never cease to be amazed at its beauty.

But I’m not sure you’ll be very happy in the long run.
Granted GW2 " OVERALL" is a great game but with allot of these recent updates has changed from Play the WAY you want to play to play the way we bloody well tell you too or you will NOT get any REWARDS! full stop
That is the reason so many people here are annoyed.
To put the cherry on top, its looking like an inevitable expansion pack will introduce a new level cap that will make "everything you’ve played the way Anet has forced you to play to acquire (Best End Gear) useless and you must now repeat it all over again ( this wouldnt be too much of a problem if WE were allowed to play and acquire that new Level 100 Ascended item HOW WE WANT TOO )

This all reminds me of the days videogames used to be on RAILS.. you could only go forward and NO you can not have Freedome to do your own thing.

I’ve been playing games for over 25 years and i’ve always liked my freedome to play how i want too.

And yes.. i guess i can still do that so long as I’m happy to stay on a level of Armor that will be 1 Tire below everyone else !!! I’m not a fan of disadvantage no matter how small

I had a run with my friends throughout some maps doing dragons and large events, and it was fun because even though I got max. 2 rares in one chest, it was rewarding enough to take me there.
This is the direction the game should go, I now have more reasons to go out in the world with my main. Thanks!

Yes this is a good way to get people out into the world! more loot is not what i’m worried about.. its one of the many good changes that have been made

They made events worth doing…but something must be done with scaling there is no challenge – especially the low level events. Way too many people (and lag!)

this latest patch has just been awesome..

me and my guild now roam around the world looking for chests rather than farm pent/shelt. , it takes us to all corners of the map…add in a couple of dungeons, fotm, wvw and spvp.. its makes my few hrs a day online very enjoyable.

Agreed with OP, I love this game! I started playing it from the BETA and wow, I have done so much and yet so little. How? I have spent countless hours playing this game, yet, I have only scratched the surface of it(Literally!). In other words, I am having a ton load of fun in this game!

Before this thread gets burried in the mists, I just wanted Anet employees to know something:
The vast majority of your playerbase are loving this game. So far it has been a wonderful journey, and you have done a great job of listening to individual players needs but at the same time satisfying diverse groups and their playstyles.

So many of us wish to thank you but do not take the time to do so on forums.

I doubt that this will make it to any dev’s computer, but I sincerely hope it does.
