It is so nice to finally see that the guaranteed drops are having a positive impact on the economy. Exotics are no longer 4-5 gold a piece and you can actually buy exotics and rares for 30 silver a pop.

Thanks Anet for your diligence in changing this problem and allowing players to get rewarded for their time in Tyria.

Hopefully this will repair this economy once and for all.

I rather would hope that they improve rewords for other stuff before i’m bored to death while doing the same things over and over again.

No one forces you to do these things over and over again. That was BEFORE when you could farm it several times a day.
As for the broken economy, I couldn’t care less cause I’m playing mainly self-loot. The ectos I never buy, always had it by salvaging.

Honestly, inflation I’m not too worried with.

I’m more worried about these events sucking players out of every other aspect of the game, because they’re currently sooooo incredibly rewarding for the amount of effort required.

So instead of cursed shores and cof p1 they are doing world events,
Have the other 2 activities really suffered that much?

Excellent point.

Now people have another option other then just grinding the same dungeon(s) over and over. This new update has pulled people back out into the world, and today the world has been more full of players then it’s ever been.

It’s very simple, the players wanted better loot and they will gravitate to whatever source offers it. This update has pulled people out of the dungeons and into the over world. Dungeons will still get run, but now there is actually another option.

Allowing people options that are all rewarding is in no way a bad thing. Making people grind over and over for little to no benefit is a trend that needs to continue to decline.

There are 10 types of people in this world. Those that understand Binary, and those who don’t.

I think the word you’re looking for is deflation. According to the OP, exotics are going down in price.

I completely agree with your spirit. However, the problem is that these World Events =/= open world. They’re just a part of it.

The 6 locations they are in had lots of people. Which is great. But what about the locations not there? The world is big, but you’re concentrating a big portion of it onto 6 specific spots. That isn’t good for the “open world.”

They need to give people reasons to visit Harathi Hinterlands. Or Brisbane. Those places are really empty, because people have no reason to go there. Not just the World Events, but the whole World itself.

I hear ya, this is a careful what you wish for senario. now that rares are dopping from these event very often, ecto prices are dropping fast. also the events in cursed shore are ‘different’ so i just done see them being the money farm they were before. in short, the people who complained about not being able to make money in this game, will likely have the same ciomplaints. oh and watch T6 mat prices.

however, i really like this update, like it or hate it, people are doing events more, clearnig temples more, doing dragons more

I know it’s fun to get 3 yellows with no to little effort. But do you know what would be even more fun?! Getting 3 yellows after a relativily difficult fight!

it’s good to be rewarded for epic fights. I do think the loot should reflect your participation, though. especially with how hard it is to get anything other than gold. silver=half the chance of gold and bronze=half the chance of silver (to get good loot)
Also, we have a new twist on an old problem: everyone posts the rare/exotics they find. use to be 2-4 people. now it fills the chat screen with yellow.

I’ve been doing a lot of WvW lately, and the dragon chests were not enticing at all before this patch hit.

Now that I’m a WvW regular, I feel torn between doing dragon events and smashing some mist invaders skulls. This is actually great if I don’t feel like smashing in some skulls.

Also, with the ectos slowly going down in value, my path to Legendary had gotten easier.

Frozen Maw is pretty silly for the amount of effort to reward: I’ve gotten 2 exotics and 7 rares from it so far across 2 characters.

The other events usually net me 1-3 rares per character.

So yea, thank you ANet for giving me some extra g per day.
