Yep, same. Quite impressed.
I said in the past few years that balance in GW2 is a problem because balance patches are both too rare and too small in scope to fix anything really. If patches like this one roll in 4-5 times a year the game could quickly evolve into a much more balanced affair though.
kitten good patch. There are plenty instances of localized increases in imbalance or new problems, but overall things are looking better now.
Agreed, really good patch. People will generally always get annoyed if their working builds aren’t optimal anymore, but this is exactly what is needed for better balance.
The great thing about not playing meta is when the balance changes hit, all that happens is you get an extra axe to throw.
While we’re never going to see FG/PS break, I appreciate that Warrior Hammer got a coherent update, and that they’re sincerely trying with Physical skills to be decent. I know there’s going to be plenty of rage at some of the “nerfs”, but we can’t always push the power curve up, so I definitely understand some of the Elementalist changes.
Oh, and I’m glad to see some of the fall/revival traits got upgrades! And some new ways to speed up party revives sneaked in there too.
I’m still processing all the changes, and will be for a while, but we’ve hit on some “interesting times” for good or ill.

I like a lot of the warrior ones,have been surprised that engineers ha e had no adjustments to mh pistol or rifle… And a few other ones in ifferent classes that I see why they are upsetting people.

Yeah completely gutting Berserker was such a smart move on their part and don’t let me forget giving us an expansion preview by pretty much removing Shroud from any serious gameplay.
Have to say thank you as well! It’s been years since I enjoyed my engineer diversity again and explosives are nice now!
I have only two concerns for explosives which is please replace the turret knockback and take a look at the positioning of the mine toolbelt skill the mines appear all over the place still.
Not having to rely on traits to get splash for support, or be forced to use the bomb kit or grenade kit for explosives is nice.
Also the guardian is amazing as a healer now. All the holes it had in traits have been filled and we can actually use spirit weapons properly now with the ammo system and the instant overload system I’ve enjoyed previously on the turrets is now on the weapons for guardians. The healing bow is awesome! Never thought I’ve be playing a bowman healer! It makes me think of Inuyasha!
Balance is hard to pull off in any game and I’ve never played one where balance wasn’t heavily criticized at every juncture. I do remember thinking that SWTOR was very well balanced at inception but that all changed soon enough.
That said, this particular package of balance changes is one of the worst I’ve seen in my years of gaming. Too much it continues to marginalize build diversity in the core builds and merely serves as a pointer to the solution: buy PoF. Pretty sad if you ask me.

Taking underperforming builds and making them underperform more. Totally what is needed for better balance.
I agree, good patch that made me decide to not buy PoF. I’m sure that’s what the devs intended.

Playing a burn Condi berzerker and almost no change for me other than Arms is more thought provoking. Maybe power based bersekers are hurt more with the primal burst nerf? And berzerkers power in strength?

I can’t get the idea behind this nerf. Why does anet hate the pPS?!!
Anet nerfed him out of raids before, the May 16 nerf was hard enough (and not justified) Because cPS deals more damage and is overall easier to play and more useful at most bosses.
We recognized that you (anet) do not like pPS, thats okay.
But why the hate? Why? You could still run with pPS with your guildies and with “non- -elite-pugs” Know mech, do your job, do decent dps and its fine…but now?!
What comes next? HB-15% dmg? Sure why not..
Just let us play a WARRIOR with Greatsword, a warrior with torch and longbow just feels wrong.

Might not be the best, but Hey im happy its being done. Good on you Anet its about time we get some of this going, Im hoping for the eventual equalization of all class’s. That way you can play what you want, how you want with no one being able to be “Its not the meta so meh” at you.
Meta = bad for game
