I hate to see all those negative threads on these forums so would like to counter with one with a positive note..

I’d like to thank ANet for once again creating an awesome game that has kept me already for thousands of hours busy, and will keep me busy in the future. Of course, each game has its flaws and balance tweaks, but these fall into nothing compared to the great fun Guild Wars (1 & 2) have given me already..

So ANet people, don’t feel too bad about those whiners complaining and flaming. They should be happy to have a game with no monthly fees and where each month new content is added.. I know I am.. :-)

Cheers!

Glad to hear you’re having fun.

And don’t worry too much about the devs. It is 2013 after all, I think it is commom wisdom these days that forums for MMOs are places of whining, pools of tears, rage and “I quit” threads.

To Op,

As a Reminder; without “whiners complaining and flaming”, there wouldn’t be any Change> Achievement>Freedom.

Actually, there’s a big difference between whiners and complainers and critiquers. I could do without the whining. I don’t mind posts that point out things that can be fixed. But when a lot of the whiners make stuff up, or complain about stuff because they just don’t get the idea behind the game, it’s not really helpful.

Though I have been critical in this forum of some design elements, I think overall it’s a great game.

Forums are generally negative because they are where people go who want changes made. This wasn’t my find but it is worth reposting as it is true of all forums.

Remember, every person who says, “I quit”, drives another moderator one drink closer to alcoholism. :-)

There should be an achievement for reading 100 “I quit” threads. I demand compensation for that time sink!

Though then people would whine about how tedious that is too…

To the OP: Are you hoping they fix your loot and make your account one of the “lucky” ones?

And ty Arenanet for finally releasing inspect (not directly, but with API)

Actually most of the fanbase here who praise anet, make stuff up. Many of them post replies that are narrow in scope and don’t counter what negative points might be said about anet or gw2.
