Firstly, I’d like to say how much I hate JP’s.
Secondly, I’d like to say how much I dislike timers.
Thirdly, how much I dislike being given a different set of skills- there’s a reason I like playing my toon…

So thank you very much for gating a mastery point behind a timed JP in Sanctum Scramble. Really. I meant it. My aching old bones and drug addled (medicine, oops!) reflexes and terrible motor control totally appreciate it.

I wonder if Super Marios 8 has less JPs than GW2?

I’ve gotten mesmers to help me with jumping puzzles. Where is this Sanctum Scramble? I don’t recognize it.

Edit: nvm. It’s not a jumping puzzle, but an adventure where you glide through a route.

Is it not 2 mastery points? 1 for silver and 1 for gold?

Yep, 2 mastery points- one for finishing in under 3 minutes and one for under 2.30.

After more than an hour of falls, restarts, missed jumps, etc I finally managed a perfect run, and finished in 3.26, just scraping bronze.

It’s actually the same route as the JP itself, just you get 3 skills to ‘help’ get you around it.

After more than an hour of trying, I’ll just have to accept that 2 mastery points are beyond my old medicine addled terrible reflexes and hand-eye co ordination.

Sad that they chose to gate so many ‘mastery’ points behind such terrible gimmicks.

Gah by the sounds of it this would remind me of the FF10 Chocobo race……
Not looking forward to doing this one.

Yeh. Well.

I already know I’m not going to get any of the raid achieves or mastery points (unless I pay someone to carry me to get one or two of the easiest)
I already know I’m not likely to get any WvW achieves (or mastery points if they have any)
I already know that I’m not likely to get the last few Season 2 achieves (or mastery points if they have them) unless I pay someone to help me.
If I don’t get some of the adventure achieves/mastery points, then they’ll just join the pile. I’m not going to worry too much about these unless I need them to unlock something I want.

There’re more than enough mastery points to get to max level, while ignoring some of the hardest Mini-game Gold rank, such as Sanctum Scramble, Fungus Among Us, Fallen Mask, Floor is Lava.

Proof? I have like 6 extra master points exceeding the max level requirement. I only get silver or bronze in all the harder Mini games.

You missed the point- it’s hard enough to even scrape bronze. Silver (which is where the first mastery point is) is extremely unlikely for me, ever. That goes for most of the mini game mastery points, which is where they seem to have put a huge number of them.

I did manage to scrape the mask silver after a few goes when the pattern came out ok- bouncing mushrooms and a bit of gliding to huge landing areas I can do. Slowly.

Discount all your silver and gold ones, then do a count and let me know how many extra you have left over.
