Quick shout out to Gaile.

thanks a bunch for getting back into comms with the community.

it certainly helps to know that there are truly people still working at anet!

and to the people who keep telling us to stop complaining. working in the customer service sector i’ll tell you this much. Complaining customers are actually a good thing, it shows they are still invested in your brand and product. if they weren’t they’d play, leave and not say a thing as to why.

we complain because we care, we can do it a lot better in 90% of the time, but you have to take the good with the bad

Thanks alot Gaile!

Three cheers! It’s not easy being the middleman. You get it from both sides.

Yes, always glad to hear her voice. Though I must ask, when will “The Frog” return to Lions Arch?

Thanks alot Gaile!

I agree with this. I’ll be writing a personalized thank you to the support for ANET commending her for actually giving us some insight into next steps and dates on future fixes.

One step at a time. Lion’s Arch has to return to Lion’s Arch first. Clear out the rubble. Fill the holes. Repair the buildings. And (optimally) remove the Megaserver from the main towns.

Hey, Gaile? Any input on the Mad Memoires’ return?

Because we can’t be angry about both?

I think Gaile is awesome and I hate it when players thinks she is responsible for everything that happens at ArenaNet and call her names or get mad at her while she is just trying to help by posting on a thread and answering players.

Also extra respect for her because she is a “she” and has to deal with a lot of stubborn grown men on this forum, lol…

Thanks alot Gaile!

I actually appreciate that Gaile reads the forums because, seemingly, she wants to, and I’ve noticed she posts on her days off and/or after hours as well during the week. That is great.

On the other hand, I can’t help but feel sympathy for Gaile because it seems like she is often told “go post here so people see something red – make it sound positive but don’t give out any real or meaningful info”. Those posts, while I can’t fault Gaile for doing her job, will eventually wear out or overshadow positives from other posts.

Overall I do feel that Gaile wants to make the game better, and for that, I say Thank You Madam ….. <<*curtsies*>>.

Ehhhhh… yes and no.

On one hand, you are correct that customers that complain are customers that want to still like your product, on the other, being a customer does not give you carte blanche to act as kitteny or as terribly as you wish to customer service reps or companies without consequence.

There comes a point where the money you give a company isn’t worth the headache you give them. There’s a line between being an invested customer and being an entitled brat. Players of MMOs (especially ones that take their complaints to official forums) tend to cross that line far too easily.
