Yes I am leaving the game. Been with Anet since GW1. I just don’t believe the new expansion is worth the price at all. The base game was absolutely worth it, I got over 2000 hours of fun out of my $60. Very few games have that kind of potential. I’ve been looking at ESO after all their updates and got to play on a relatives account to try it out. It has improved a lot, so I think i’ll be moving to that game. Maybe after a couple years i’ll pickup HoT on sale and return once I get bored of my other games. I hope you guys enjoy the expansion, I personally just don’t think the price is worth it at this time. See you later.

Because I enjoyed their games and wanted to let them know how much i appreciated their work before I leave. It’s better to leave on a positive note than to just leave and be a statistic.

If you really enjoyed and appreciated their game so much, I think you’d see $50 as nothing in terms of investment and supporting them. Go work a real job – and compare how much pleasure you’d derive from $50 given to Anet compared to elsewhere.
