Just received this in the mail. The front features the five races in holiday garb, the back has ArenaNet’s logo and the contents of the card have the signatures of the ArenaNet team.
I am guessing they sent these out to everybody who bought Collector’s Editions?
see the attachments for the photos of the card
Man that is cool.
I bought one collector’s edition, 2 deluxe, one normal and no card. So answering you I think its also “RNG” xD
A very cool card
I also purchased a collector’s edition (along with two standard editions as gifts) and did not receive a holiday card. So methinks you’re just an incredibly lucky individual!
That card is SO adorable…I can’t even put into words how jealous I am right now! (But don’t get me wrong! I’m totally happy for you and am happy to see ArenaNet does this for players).

Hmm. If you still don’t have a card in the next few days (a week at the most) then i’ll be convinced that buying CE has nothing to do with receiving one.
I live in the EU have played GW1 since day one and have most collectors editions, but no card here
Do you live in the US, EU or somewhere else?
US East Coast. Came in the mail yesterday afternoon.
Downtown Seattle here. Collector’s Edition, but no card. Not quite sure how the Collector’s Edition could actually lead to a physically mailed card considering all Collector’s Editions had to be purchased via third party retailers (so ANet would not have addresses from the credit cards used for these purchases) and there’s no way to enter a physical address into your account information. Perhaps the criteria for receiving the holiday card is something else? Like gem purchases and/or buying the game direct from ArenaNet? It’d have to be something where ArenaNet would have an address on-file (like from a credit card).
Whatever the case, congrats!
ArenaNet has been doing this for years. It has nothing to do with buying collector’s editions. It’s just a lucky few get them (and sometimes select members of the community who contribute a lot via moderating forums or running fansites etc). It’s just a luck thing it seems.

Fair enough. Kinda like a lottery.
