Hello fellow players, and Anet staff:

I have been reading the forums for days since the game launched. I have also seen the positive reviews for this game in basically all video game review websites. I also pre-ordered the game, got the strategy guide (just for kicks, something to read on my way to work on my ipad), and among other things I am extremely pleased with the game. But before my fellow readers go nuts and flame me, please read on:

I did not play WOW, never really liked the play style, the design of the characters, and the hostility found in those mmo’s. I used to play a game called ragnarok online, and enjoyed 10 years playing there, yet it was time to move on. When I read on the playstation magazine about this game, and then looked at some youtube videos regarding this game, I knew this game would be something special. I am the adventurer type, Im not worried about extremely powerful equips or killing everyone in pvp; I just like exploring. GW2 seemed to hit the nail with the explorative maps and making the entire experience feel alive.

Now onto the point:

ANET, how do you guys cope with such negativity on the forums? I am amazed at your patience! I see children crying all the time—Mobs are too hard! Mobs are too weak! How boring! OMG why isn’t this done the way I want! weee weee Im leaving! This sucks! Ahhh, GW2 is too hard for a noob like me, or too easy for a god like me!

Anet, I just wanted to say: you guys rock, please don’t change or remove your great ideas because of what children might be saying or complaining. Theres much to improve I’m sure, but jeez loweis! this game is only 2 months old, maybe younger! Take care guys, and keep up the good work.

Sincerely;
Aden Nova

Thanks for the excellent game, Anet!

You like exploring, this is the perfect game for you.

That gives you the right to insult people asking for changes?
It gives you the right to say all critisism is the same as little children crying?

Anyone saying some features of the game aren’t implemented right is by definition a child?

The game IS great, and more so if exploring is your thing.
But from where I stand it’s far from perfect, and even the exploring suffered from respawn rates, low population in maps where you can’t survive alone, dynamic events not being so dynamic, downscaling not working enough, and a big list of bugged skill points and what not.
But pointing those out makes me a whiny kid, doesn’t it?
You don’t have to agree with me, or anyone else for that matter.
But lay of the insults.

What is it with positive posts singing the praise of this game, but always falling to insulting those that have remarks?
Can’t you just be happy and adult about it? Do you have to put others opinions down to give your own opinion strenght? Are you that insecure?

You have your cooky and you’re so happy about it you have to make a post insulting all those without.
How adult does that sound?

Re-reading my post, and I’m sorry if i come down to hard on you for what is intended as a positive post.

But please look at it again and ask yourself if it’s really needed to insult others who disagree with you, in advance even… just to get your positive point across.

I gladly remove my own negative posts if you would rephrase your initial post. But as it stands, I can’t help but react to such things.

Thanks for the excellent game, Anet!
