To be honest i dont care about finding this “event” funny or not, yeah i had a very tiny chuckle when i saw my female ele dancing but heres what happened, after the first dungeon i started feeling funny, thought i was just tired but i didnt play a lot today. After the second dungeon i was dizzy and my head was killing me i had to log off not because i was insulted by the plane crash in europe, or because I found the event INCREDIBLY idiotic and had to come to the forums to rant about it, but it just made me feel like kitten, utter kitten, first time a game does that, and id still be playing if it wasnt for that moronic effect.
I did turn off post processing but i just couldnt recover, guess some sleep ll be good, just wanna say to the programmer who thought that sepia effect was a good idea : " you giganticus kittenbag can go straight to hell, trully hope your kitten gets fired yesterday."
That is all, Anet you owe me some aspirin, see you all tomorrow.

You could have just turned the post processing off as soon as you realized it was making you dizzy. I’m pretty sure the devs didn’t add the visual effect to the game with the intention of harming your vision. I’m a little biased though on this sort of stuff. I have no health issues whatsoever, so I guess I can’t really see where you’re coming from. I also had the common sense to turn off post processing after a couple minutes of enjoying the humor though, but only because the visual changes made aoe circles difficult to see lol.

If he truly had health issues on it, he would be very well versed in checking graphics settings first thing.

I didnt realize it was the game making me feel bad soon enough, but i did turn it off when the headache started, still got dizzy a bit after and had to log off. Since as I said that never happened to me in a game before i was surprised that stupid thing could have such a negative effect on me.
I completely understand that it wasnt their intention to make anyone feel bad, but thats why they should be professionals and have a just in case plan, a simple check on your screen with “toggle nostalgia ON/OFF” would have sufficed.

Yep, instant headache. I was about to log off about 1 minute in when someone in map said it could be disabled. It’s cool that anet does this stuff but this one in particular was a turn off for me personally. Funny that old movies don’t bother my eyes but when rendered artificially on a computer screen it is instant eye strain. some modes of 3D or poorly done 3D in general do it as well. There is just something about placing an effects filter over a proper image that ruins it for some of us.
