Just a thread to thank Anet for this AOE loot. Finally ! It’s amazingly good and convenient. I love the ability to have the choice with an automatic on F or bind it to another key.
I thought it would only be useful for WvW but actually, even in PvE, it’s very useful, I love to loot from a distance and everything at the same time.
Also the 900 range on radius is pretty good.
Thumb up for great improvement

Ye thanks!

The range 900 for most weapons can be summed up as
You shoot it you loot it.²

² exceptions may apply. Shortbow no longer an exception.

If I can’t play Guild Wars 2 at work, I won’t work in Guild Wars 2 either.

Indeed, really nice!
Especially when manning an arrowcart or something in WvW, since you can now get the loot without leaving the cart ^^

I also think that it is amazing, thanks. Just a little counter-intuitive if you leave it bound to F.

Aye, personally I bound it to Shift+F, easy enough to remember ^^

AoE looting is such a great QoL improvement next only to making a palatable guild UI or TP, it’s serious that good. No longer will you have to wade through the pile of dead NPCs whose individual lives don’t even approach worth reviving lying at the feet of a big bad to pick up your ill-gotten goods. The dev/s who perpetrated such an act of magnanimity knows who they are.

The only nitpick that can be said about it is that enabling AoE loot on interact doesn’t have any kind of visual cue that you’re in range to vacuum up loot. A brighter pile of sparkles or a faint ring on suitable eligible targets to differentiate loot within sight but not range would be nice.

Want to add my thanks to ANet for the AOE loot. Not just for the AOE part but also for the ability to split the loot part from the rez/talk to NPC/interact with item part. Now I won’t be accidentally talking to NPCs, rezing, or picking up rocks or branches in the middle of combat. The only thing to do now is remember the new key for when I do want to do those things. Lol. (Gosh darn it, I’m hitting the F key, why can’t I access my bank. Oh yeah, G key now. Nvm. O.o)
