I am really glad that we can use our gliders everywhere now. Its a fun part of the game that will now be with us for all time, through expansions and beyond.

Wherever I am going – I`m flying, bookah!

Yup, glad Anet did this .. it demonstrates more than words can ever say how much of the game it trivialises and why Blizzard took flying out of leveling content in WOW before the cries of the weenies forced them to bring it back.

It doesn’t work anything like Warcraft flight. Nobody is going to be gliding into the middle of enemy camps to cherry pick enemies…well, not unless those enemies happen to live next to a handy mountain or something.

Places I’ve tried so far:

• Mount Maelstrom.
• Lighthouse in Lion’s Arch.
• Wizard’s Fief (That one didn’t work out so well as there’s and invisible wall just south of the diving goggle location).
• Durmand Priory.
• A mountain peak in the south of Lornar’s Pass.
• Two places on the north side Malchor’s Leap.

All of them were awesome.

Prison eh? I’m gonna have to try that.

Yeah, it’s probably my favourite addition.

For me, it just adds something ‘new’ to the game. Being able to revisit old places and just glide around feels really refreshing.

I’m pretty much running up small slopes just to get a little bit of gliding in when going from place to place.

I am grateful, but we should have got this months ago with HoT release.

Fantastic spot for Asuran roleplay – I can see it becoming a fun hangout spot.

its about immersion too not all players are tunnel visioning through lvls.

I’ve been having great fun with it, simply finding cool places to glide from. And I can’t believe I forgot Mount Maelstrom!

I think my favourite so far was when I was gliding off Rata Sum and then found myself in prison next to a bunch of people who had the same idea. At that point I hadn’t seen many other people doing it, so I was starting to feel like I was the only one.

It’s wonderful. I am so happy that they have enabled it in the lands outside HoT. Now I can get much needed practice. One day I might be able to land on the head of a pin instead of missing that big wide ridge completely.

Now I need more glider skins. I only have three

now can walk on air too above the crab toss arena in southsun :P
