My computer shut down yesterday unexpectedly because it overheated. If I’d left a team at the very last moment like that, I would have appreciated the game to have a failsafe for my teammates.

Naming and shaming is not allowed on the forums as far as I know, so it would probably be in your best interest to remove the person’s name from your post.

The fact that your run went smoothly indicates he was probably not trolling and had a real-life issue come up that caused him to d/c or leave the party for whatever reason. Someone unintentionally screwing over his party members because something in real life happened is not “unacceptable behavior”.

The more serious problem they should deal with is preventing the whole kicking everyone when the party leader bails. That is the real problem here. I’d advise against rash judgment in the future if you don’t know the whole story behind why someone did what they did…

Yeah, I hope they fix the issue with party leaders. I personally don’t even understand why we have them aside from deciding who shows up in cut scenes. Maybe they should just make the next person automatically become leader when one leaves?

Had this happen with a multiserver(gw2lfg) pug group for AC exp. We had just got to howler when the party leader leaves the group kicking us all out. It would be nice for a fail-safe or at least a log of who you have been in a party with recently, so we can make a note not to party with them if they are are trolling.

I thought I read somewhere that you should screenshot your team before running a dungeon in case something happened. Is that even relevant whether you had a screenshot or not?

One of the many reasons they simply should not have dungeons, too many things to go wrong too many rules and too many bad experiences (not enough failsafes). Same goes for DR, RNG gear, and everything being under a single currency.

Reconnecting as in being able to rejoin the same instance as your party, AKA how normal dungeons work. Leaders who leave normal dungeons also cause their party to leave.
