I can’t imagine I’m the only one who was annoyed when they finally found out about this thing.

I thought the only “tax” was the listing fee for the longest time, the fact that it’s costing you twice to sell things (w/o even telling you) is insane, I’m not sure why they didn’t just increase the listing fees instead of adding this invisible tax cut.

It wouldn’t be so annoying if it was actually reflected when trying to sell something, so it shows you the TRUE value you’re getting when selling something. =/

you aren’t the only one and it does need to be clearly advertised.

I definitely agree with this. Wouldn’t be too hard to implement either, I’d imagine.

So, after carefuly checking the TP before vendoring each item I now need to check the prices at 85% of listed value vs. the vendor price?

SoE have finally been knocked off the top spot
in the list of developers I have the least faith & trust in.

Or go to tpcalc.com

Input what you bought the item at and desired sell price… bam – you now know how much profit your making.

Not quite as quick as comparing the value on the tooltip to the value on the TP window though.

I’ll just go back to vendoring anything that wouldn’t fetch a significant profit if I listed it on the TP instead.

It’s a sad thing when people need websites to actually calculate these kinds of things.

What I’d rather see, is that the 15% is taken into account when checking if an item is ‘under the vendor price’. It’s utterly rediculous that the game checks for you if you’re not shooting yourself in the foot, only to cut it off when you actually do sell something.

If you can read this then it is proof that ArenaNet’s moderators just, kind and fair.

The TP prices being flat along with the ridiculas cut it takes has me either vendoring or breaking down most of what I craft anymore.

I rather as well, but this was my solution since I’m not very math savvy. I rather have the tax be included in the calculation or at least listed as Sales Tax: ____ right under listing price.
