Guild Wars 2

A few months back a player discovered that if the sound effects of a mesmer’s portal was reversed that the Guild Wars 2 theme was hidden in it.

And then Maclaine Deimer made a video showing the source of the sound – it came from a prototype music box.

I’m wondering if there is any chance this prototype will ever see production? I have a niece that I would love to gift such a music box to.

This is very sad news. Not sure why management decided against it but I would have enjoyed that music box far more than the Rytlock statue sitting in a box in my closet.

I also wish it was available. I collect music boxes…

If this happens, please please please give us a toggle to turn it off. The SAB music is fine for SAB, but it gets extremely old after a while.

Ah well, I figured the chance might be slim since Maclaine did say how challenging it was to make the prototype. I guess this charming little creation will just have to move to the realm of my imagination where it will evolve into the most magical of music boxes, becoming more fantastical as the days go by until the dragons circling the base come to life and start breathing fire made of liquid gold.

I am actually the guy who bought the prototype from someone. It is in good shape, and from what the seller said, there were only 4 made. 2 went to Arenanet and 2 went to NC Soft. The guy I bought it from was the one who helped decide what went into the CE of the game. Anyways, I may post a vid of it on youtube later. See ya…Keb.
