OK, straight up— How can you go past “Legendary Champion” as a title?

The term “legendary” in Guild Wars 2 is used to denote the pinnacle of achievement in terms of acquisitions, i.e. the top and final tier of weapons and armour. Likewise, the term “champion” is used to refer to the most powerful and dangerous enemies.

Therefore, the “Legendary Champion” title is unmatched—and can never be outdone by another title—in terms of nuance, at least.

God Walking Among Mere Mortals would like to have a word with you.

Nobody has actually ever seen God—only people walking around with that title. ;P
But granted, that may be the only other title that stands a chance.

Champion of the Gods is another title that has a claim to outstrip Legendary Champion.

I think these titles should grant the player a defiance bar – even if it isn’t as ‘wicked’ as a mob champion’s.

I used to really want gwamm, but not really anymore. Seen too many awful players with it, in all game modes. And gw2 is a quite horizontal games, there’s ain’t no gods amongst the players. Maybe a few ones in pvp, but still. And there’s so many with it that it became kinda generic, like those Silverwastes achievements “Anihilator”, “Be-all-end-all”, meh. I’ll probably use Flameseeker after getting my gw1 stuff, looks much more interesting for my guard, and ofc more original. And bad players hardly will get Legendary Champion, unlike gwamm.

The thing is this title would have been truly great. At release until some pvp rework patch later it took 2x r80 worth of pvp ranking points. And r80 itself took so long that noone was even close before the patch. Now Legendary champion is basically just r81 and r80 can be done in like 200 hours of pvp instead of years of pvp.

I prefer the title’s you can’t get any more such as emissary of the mad king or hero of lions arch. Those titles are gone and can’t get anymore. You can still get legendary champion an GWAMM.

Even if you lose 100% of your games, LC is still easy to get. It’s just time.

I’d like one that say “Better than this guy →”.
Then you could stand with any Legendary Champion at your left and chuckle.
