The Moot collection requires event failure!
No one else finds this atrocious? I was really hoping to get a dev response that they would look into it. This collection requires a map to fail 2 consecutive events to even attempt!
There have been other threads with people complaining about needing events to fail to get their collection items and, yes, it absolutely is an inexcusably bad design choice.
I remember an early interview where a dev (Colin, I think it was?) said something along the lines of never wanting players to feel bad when another player showed up (granted this was regarding loot drops), but whoever picked the events for these collections clearly didn’t think about that at all.

There have been others.
Needing an event to fail is bad design. I’d have expected this particular lesson to be something Anet had already learned. I can only assume different developers worked on the legendary collections than those that worked on the told trait system, because it had the same issues.
Didn’t someone say in another thread that you can get this same tooth in Southsun?

Welcome to Fail Wars… it took great creative intelligence to come up with this rewarding way of gameplay… I think ANET deserves a payrise for bringing the community together in total harmony once more…..oh wait!
