Guild Wars 2

Dear Arenanet\Players
I have been playing Guild Wars 2 Since the Beta Days, and I remember that in the Beta, we had a cool Login Screen with the game logo changing colors. I wonder why was it removed? and is there any chance of getting it back? I truly loved that login screen and I really wish it could make a comeback!
What do you think people (and of course, the dear people in Arenanet)?

yeah that it really hyped me up in the betas too bad it changed, it had a really nice intro to the game. Anyway I wish I could also change the background music to for example like that nice piano theme instead.

I loved this as well.
I can understand that they wanted to combine patching and logging in. But I would rather have an automatic patcher like GW1 and then be presented with the full screen login.

It was just gorgeous, I loved seeing this in beta it just felt truly epic.

I prefered the old one as well.

I remember during the beta days…

When there were no beta weekends, I would open the launcher just to listen to the epic music and login screen… then cry that it would be one month until the next beta weekend.

Well, there was the -useoldlauncher command for that, but they disabled it in August. Never understood why they did that.

Such awesome thing created and then dumped into the garbage bin. Pity.

Wasn’t around for the beta but I heard about the log in as invisible feature during the early days. I’d want that back.

Invisible status is pretty ‘stupid’ if you’d have to appear first.

Wow. Why on earth would such a gorgeous login interface be discarded in favor of the current extra window?

I want this back as well.. It’s beautiful.

You can. I have because the music doesn’t do it for me atm.

Documents>Guild Wars2>Music place a playlist file (.wpl) here and name it MainMenu

You can change most of the music such as Cities, adventuring and battles.

Great, I have the old file setup from the beta, where u saved 3 files and the gw2 launcher, hopefully that doesn’t affect me.

yes the bwe login was much better. i would like to see it again. it really does have a feeling to it.

Although very stylish, I prefer the GW1 login screens which had a living background representing the style of the expansion.
It would change whenever a new expansion came out.

Probably because after viewing it for the 1000th time it gets old and most people don’t start the client to stare at a login screen
