Looking at what the Vigil area has become, it’s great too see people hanging out there now. With almost everything moved there from L..A. it was to be expected.

So I guess this is the new central hub that has been said it would be huh?

I think Anet has a golden opportunity here to make the Durmond Priory area another central hub where people can go and socialize.

The Vigil right now has all the good stuff, but there is no reason to why the other orders can’t have the same things. But there’s only one of each kind of portals to go to a main city, one of each kind to go to the mists, and one of each kind of dungeon vendors, and they are all in the Vigil keep. So how does the Durmond Priory get all of those things too? Well they do have money don’t they? And they can pay to have all these services there, it’s good business after all. (This is just a reason to have it there lore wise).

L.A. was bad because it was the obvious central hub where everyone would be. This is what the Vigil keep area is going to become if Anet doesn’t expand on this.

And also, I expect L.A. to be rebuilt in the future, but in the mean time, we can build hubs around L.A., which the Vigil and Durmond Priory happen to be btw. Even the Order of whispers can have all these things in their secret underground facility. And when L.A. comes back, Anet should redesign it to not be a central hub, but rather it be more of an explorable zone with lore stuff in it.

The Priory is a bunch of scholars and the Order of Whispers is a bunch of secretive spies. Can’t really see them opening their doors to the masses to socialize.

We do have 5 huge racial cities though :P

That are not centrally located. It’s why no one but RP’ers bothered with them before. With the way the WP system works it behooves players to make their home base as central to the current world as possible.

As far as lore goes….Scarlet.

Both, including the Order of Whispers, set up camps right outside their doorsteps.

The Priory would probably be glad to let you have a look around and ask you about your experiences in this historic event, granted you’re not clumsy or careless with priceless artifacts.

The Order of Whispers will probably let you into their main cave if there was a good reason (medical, etc) or general inquiry into them. They’re not likely to let non-members into the back rooms though.

The Vigil has no qualms with civilians of any walk and are perfectly capable of moderating the company they’ve saved and invited. Though, most folks are just grateful for the reprieve and the kindness. The few who might be inclined to cause trouble know you don’t mess with the Vigil.

The Lionguard are also about in all of this and seem to be working with the orders. So, there’s them.

I wish Rata Sum was the popular place. It’s my favorite because of the layout, and because Asuras are the best. Unfortunately it’s tucked away in the corner where no one wants to bother moving their mouse cursor.

I think whichever city has the full compliment of portals is going to be the “main” city. After seeing this patch I have a feeling Lions Arch will be rebuilt over the beginning of “Living Story Season 2” and we will once again live there. I wish the Tengu would open up and let us use their potentially awesome city, but Anet seems to want to paint them as xenophobic, arrow-shooting jerkbags.

You can’t have more than one central hub. They would just be hubs. We already have many of them (racial cities).

My problem is that the location of the Chantry of Secrets was, well…a secret. A pretty big one. Nobody outside the Order was supposed to know that it’s under Stormbluff Isle.

It’s shocking that right now, the Lost Grotto is almost safer than the Chantry.

I should be writing.

The whispers will not let you in their cave. They don’t have a cave. Nothing to see, just move along. That cave is just a Dead end.

The Vigil keep campment has every sign off being a temporary solution (refugee camp, bank in what seems to be a storage room, bl trading post is just some cars, many boxes and tents that have swiftly build).

I think that after scarlets attack we will have a ‘new’ Lion’s Arch. Maybe somewhere else. Maybe on the location of the vigil keep, maybe even in a different continent. Maybe the same name, maybe a different name. Lots of theory’s have been thrown out. I’m happy to wait and see what Anet has in store for us. Knowing what they did with the old lions arch im certain it is in good hands.
