I’d like to have the old personal story line back, or at least have it fixed. Right now it’s just a cut up mess of chaos. You meet NPCs that act like they’re your best friend, while you’ve never met them before, then, a few missions later, they introduce themselves to you for the first time (the Largos NPC). I also miss the Biggest Fear story line in personal story.
Personally I completely missed the point why this has been changed, I understand that it’s all restructured for better immersion and progression, but...healing Orr by killing the Sovereign Eye of Zaithan (who refers to you defeating other Eyes, which you have never seen before), before even starting your quest for Zaithan, leaves you with a feeling of it being pointless to attack Zaithan at all. It was so immersion breaking for me that I stopped playing the game as a whole.
I also like the system where you could just continue your story even though your level wasn’t high enough, you’d get pwned badly, but I didn’t mind. Now you’re just forced to do other stuff waiting for your story to continue. It gives me a feeling of waiting in line. I liked the way where you would travel to the next point in your story and help everyone you would come across so that you were just powerful enough to complete the next mission.
Bottom line, I need a story that doesn’t have major plot holes due to being cut and reorganized as it is right now. It completely broke the immersion for me and even refrains me from continuing to play to this date.
