I don’t understand why they keep nerfing visuals like ele fireball and auras but then go to increase the visuals of some legendaries to extreme lightbulb mode.

What is the point of “reducing visual noise” if you are also increasing it. I may still just be mad about the fireball nerf but this just makes no sense to me.

To make it easier for spectators to watch PvP Leagues.

Yes, you don’t care about PVP, and neither do I. But ANET makes money off it, so they prioritize that over their actual playerbase.

Add your opinion in this thread. Maybe we’ll get an answer from Anet. Maybe.

Can’t wait for the one guy out of a million to show up that supports this garbage change, linking a picture of an Orr fight from 2013.

The point of visual nerfs?

None. At all.

Oh yes the few people who watches the tournament whined. It´s way more important to fix this ASAP and let the one who are playing enjoy the visual enhaced experience with 0 visibility because they can´t even see if the enemy has a reflect aura or not.

Thanks to my illusions this combat is nothing but a stage scene.
You should prepare for your great finale.

Such people also miss the point. The single biggest contributor of visual clutter is that the impact spells scales with enemy size.

Since they refuse to answer the question, this is the best I’ve come up with:

With the massive popularity of retro games in the last five years or so, it’s no surprise why Anet is turning the graphics style of this game into simpler forms: by making visual effects look straight out of Everquest or Dark Age of Camelot, they’re preparing to take advantage of the “trailblazer MMO throwback” craze that’s bound to happen in the next decade.

Proud disabled gamer. Not everyone has the capacity to git gud.

Yea. Those 5k viewers at peak times are definitely raking in the dough.

They’re losing tons of money from sPvP “e-sports”, it doesn’t take a lot of analysis to notice, and any half-wit with sales and player data would realize the overwhelming majority of their profits come from sources not related to sPvP or the tournaments.

They’re just so utterly delusional it’s almost sad.
