What is the Wayfarer’s Challenge?
The Wayfarer’s Challenge is an Exploration Challenge I’ve set myself to explore Tyria.
The reason I posted this here is that it may catch some other intrepid explorer’s eye, and they may think it’s a neat idea.
I’ll be limiting the challenge to PvE, because the WubWub-ers prolly don’t want me taking up a space and not contributing. Can’t blame them, really
Rules
- Instant Travel Must Not Be Used – Aside from the obvious exception of dying, Waypoints or going through the Mists cannot be used for travel. In short, it’s on-foot everywhere (wouldn’t be much of a Wayfarer’s challenge otherwise).
- Map Icons Must Be Switched Off – See that eye in the bottom left-hand corner? Use that to turn all of the icons off. This will at least mean that you have to look out for the Vista maps. Who knows what scenery you’ll pick up?
- Exploration Isn’t Limited To Map Completion – As well as Vista’s, PoI, and other marks on the map, Jumping Puzzles and Mini-Dungeons must be done. Essentially, anything under the Explorer and Jumping Puzzle tabs that isn’t Dungeons, Fractals and Legendary Weapon must be done.
- TP And Other Characters Cannot Be Used – Everything the character gets must be gotten off of their own effort, meaning you can only use vendors and crafting.
