So, i just remembered Flame & Frost. I kinda get that, Shiverpeaks and Norn for the Frost part and Ascalon and Charr/Flame legion for the Fire. “Flame and Frost”. Sounds sweet, doesnt it?
But as you may know there wasnt any Frost about it in the end which is weird.
So i took a look at how many pieces for character customization (what this game mostly is about) for the respective element we have:

Fire – Armor
Sorrows embrace armor
Citadel of flame armor
Gemstore Tier 5 armor
Hellfire armor
Flame eye, Fire gods vambraces, Fused Gauntlets, Molten Jetpack

Ice – Armor
Glacial eye, Icelords diadem

Armor Sets:
Fire: 3 1/2, Ice: 0
Standalone Pieces:
Fire: 4, Ice: 2

Fire – Weapons
Flame weapons
Molten weapons
Destroyer weapons
Fused weapons
Guardian weapons
Breath of flame, Cobalt, Combustion, Emberglow, Emberspire, Firebringer, Magmaton, Phoenix reborn, Titans vengance, Volcanus, Dead stop shield
-not counting every torch, that would be a little unfair :p

Ice – Weapons
Kodan weapons
Corrupted weapons(thx for these by the way, they are what i would call the best designed weapon set in the game)
Winters weapons(Altough as unserious as you can get.. no wonder noone uses these)
Coldsnap, Jormags breath, Jormags needle, Shiverstone, Wintersbark/bite

Weapon Sets:
Fire: 4 1/2, Ice: 2 1/2
Standalone Weapons:
Fire: 11, Ice: 5

Legendaries
Fire: The Predator, Incinerator, Rodgort
Ice: Frostfang

As you can see, this is not very balanced, actually, its not even the slightest bit balanced.
Why is that? Do you not like ice? Did it do something to you? Why did you choose to put yet another fire armor in the store when theres zero ice themed armor?
…more choices for the -cooler- side of the elements pleeeeeeaaase?

You are talking about the Balance between Fire and Ice? Really !!?

Because you put this kind of stuff into question, I’d rather take first a look onto the other two Elements first – Earth and Wind !!

Earth has absolutely no weapon skins i can think of , that represent this Element in this game so far….

Wind has also absolutely none weapon set or so, that properly represents this Element. The game has only stuff for Lightning (thats not Wind!) and most of the Lightning stuff exacrpt the one legendary Weapon Bolt looks terrible in the game, borign and ugly compared to the legendary weapon

Mystic Weapons/ Inquest weapons are besides of Bolt the only weapons that have some kind of lightning effect with blue/red effects…

These Elements are imo something that I’d love to see more first, as also Weapons with Light/Darkness Effects.

But i agree with you in general, fire Weapons got way too much love so far, we got it that Anet seems to love fire, but the other elements – all of them, not just only Ice , could get hopefully some love too finally.

Personally I like the idea behind sub classes ~ quoted from Chris Whiteside

Just forget the elements even, make more stuff lime heavy Phalanx armor and the likes, only acquirable in-game for once.

I want Ebon vanguard armor from gw1, kurzick/luxon types, etc. More armor/weapon merchants like the dungeon ones.
And yeah, I lovey cobalt and jormag’s breath so please more ice than fire, but maybe other “elements” too; smoke, lightning, natural stuff.

Coldsnap…

Whoa what? Coldsnap is one of the nicest scepter skins in the game.

You’re the first, and most likely the last, to care about such things.

There’s actually at least one for earth, the Cragstone.

Or we could just drop those flames and ice pick and go for something that actually looks nice and doesn’t need effects to cover it up. (Or Caladbolg).

This is much more important than fixing year old bugs and making the game more rewarding and fun.

I’m sure you’re well aware of this, but the guys fixing bugs or developing content aren’t the same guys who design weapons and armor.
