I was wandering in Snowden Drifts when a group event popped up near me. I saw some fellow players around and went to ask for help. The first guy just not answered for my call but also teleported to the nearest Son of Svanir and started attacking it. It let me curious so I decided to wait a bit.

In total 5 Charr Rangers, with identical specs, wearing + Magical Find gear (including signets in its weapons) and using Signet of Stone and Carrion Devourer pets. Not just killing everything at sight but clearly TELEPORTING at will.

The names were Freda Hilda, Jocelyn Gail, Geraldine Cora, Aamy Doris and Charles Karl. I’ve reported each one of them in-game, but as they seem pretty much organized I decided to report them all together. There is a better place to do it besides singular in-game report? It seemed to me more important and urgent than a single fella botting the game. They are getting better at this..

Yep, making a ton of money too, anet’ll ban em in a wave claim victory, wait a few months for them to buy accounts and build up ranks again and repeat. That way they both profit.

If the character is multi-boxing, all you need to do is send a support ticket with details. Support will then investigate and action the accounts if needed.

Wasting your time mate, Anet simply aren’t interested in removing the bots whatsoever.

Arena nets seems to be only interested in discouraging bots not activily going after them.

This means they will continue to break the game for active players but they wont ban accounts.

This is always relevant when talking about bots o.o

Too bad they aren’t doing enough with getting rid of them.

A reason why ANet doesn’t ban some of these acct is because some accts are hacked acct – I was a victim when my acct got hacked on multiple occassions during the first few weeks. And I even took the precaution of changing my email, password (several times), and formatting my drive after the first time it happened. I’m happy that ANet just didn’t ban my acct, as I bought the LE. I’m also sure that many of these bots are hacked acct. Some botters might have legitmately bought a copy – and if they’re intelligent, they’d use a program to decipher the algorithm of the serial code and create tens, if not hundreds, of serial codes so they can hop back in with a ‘new acct.’

I know guys who have done this in other MMO (some P2P some F2P) – a few even made a decent living off it for a short time (considering the live primarily in the P.I). It’s not a simple matter of banning accts – as the really adamant botters/hackers typically just don’t have one bot/hacked acct at their disposal. Ban an acct – no big loss, they’ve got another one ready to go!

How would you know their spec and gear, out of curiosity?

Game enjoyment increases as time spent on the forums decreases.
