To be honest it looks like an ArenaNet testing area (kinda like GM island in WoW)

If you played GW1 and was mapping an area close to the walls then when you opened the map you would see many types of animal in each area

I did Tyrian Cartographer on a couple chars and never noticed that highlander

Yesterday I noticed a “skill Challenge” where you light a campfire. Guess what comes Rampaging out to stomp out the Fire? ….A Rhino-like porcine Veteran. That’s direct homage to a comedy most younger people have never even heard of:
