Quite a few modes are simply lacking in achievements. I’ll give some basic suggestions.

Fractals of the Mist

Raise your fractal rewards level -
Ranks start out at 1ap then go to 5ap per rank, with 10ap for the final rank.

Dungeons

Boss specific achievements – such as “Kill Kholer without getting hit by his spinning attack.” (Variable ap)

Hero

Individual achievements for hitting level 80 on each class. Each one is worth 10ap.

Tradesman

The Magic Touch – Craft x Magical (Blue) Items.

Masterworker – Craft x Masterwork items.

Rare Talent – Craft x Rare items.

Exotic Specialist – Craft x Exotic items.

Ascended Craftsman – Craft x Ascended Items.

Jumping Puzzles

Hobby Puzzle Jumper – Complete 5 jumping puzzles (per rank). Functions like Hobby Dungeon Explorer.

Bosses

There are a large number of world bosses not covered by achievements. They each deserve one.

Triple Trouble

Bane of the Great Jungle Wurm -
Defeat the Great Jungle Wurm x times (repeatable).
Unlocks after completing its meta achievement.

Tequatl

Bane of Tequatl.
Defeat Tequatl x times. (Repeatable)
Unlocks after completing its meta achievement.

World Vs. World

WvW has a bounty of long-term achievements, but it lacks in the short term. The edition of smaller, 5ap versions of its existing achievements would be nice.

Also….

Hobby Mist Warrior –
Rank up in World vs. World. (Repeatable)

Collections

Additional weapon collections. If it’s part of a set, give it a collection.

Achievements mean absolutely nothing to me, though I’d give this two thumbs up for those that love those dang things.

One is only the smartest person in the room if they are alone.

Theres tons of Potential, that anet doesn’t use yet, when it comes to achievements.

1) Regions
If Anet didn’t implemented this category just only for some new maps, there are a hell alot of regions waiting for ANt to get their own Region Achievements.

2) Bosses
The Bosses section needs to get redesigned, removing the old Boss Section and integratign the old Boss Achievements into the seperate Boss Achievements for each World Boss gettign their own Achievements, like Tequatl and the Tri Wurm, starting with the Shatterer and Claw of jormag to get redesigned like Tequatl to become finally some true challenging World Bosses with compelling, fun and interesting gameplay mechanics instead of just beign only huge HP sponges with lame mechanics, like the permanent fearign of Claw of Jormag, which is just annoying as hell together with this silly ice shield which takes way too long to destroy!!

3) Dungeons
If ANet finally would redesign all Dungeon Paths, then all Dungeons could hat Path Achievements, like the Aether Path Achievements of Twilight Arbor

4) Fractals of the Mist
Whenever they add a new Fractal, easily new Achievements coudl be added

5) Activities
If Anet would add finally Polymock, bar Brawls and Target shooting, this section could get some new Achievements too

6) Weapon Master
If we see somewhen new weapons, this is an automatic add on here.
otherwise, Weapon Master Achievement could be increased with Weapon Based Special Finishers (PvE only), Weapon Master Achievements can be increased with simply more Ranks to the Kill Achievements

7) Slayer
So many missing Slayer Achievements here, that are still missing … bane of Destroyers, Bane of Mordrem, Bane of Jormags Minions, Bane of Kralkas Minions, Karka Slayer, Dog Slayer just to name a few things

8) Fashion… Anet has achievements for Black Lion Weapons.. so I don’t see why Anet shouldt add also Achievements for collecting Outfits here and Gemstore Armor Sets rewarding Players with Black Lion Tickets when they max them, so that players who buy all kinds of gem store outfits ect get also some reward for it

9)Hero, should continue automatically, if we ever get finally a continue in out PERSONAL STORY too or Anet should finalyl merge completely the living story with the personal story, that they they can fix also the missign Season 1 replayability and the PS becomes then basically the new Season 0

10) Masteries
Once HoT comes, i’m sure, this will be some kind of new achievement section

11) Specilization
Same like that above

12) Guild
Why there are no Guild Achievements, based on Guild Missions, is just a riddle to me..biut also with the upcoming Guild Halls, this is an absolute long overdue achievement category

13)Adventures
Sure will also be linked to new achievements, once HoT comes

14)Strong Holds
Will be surely a new achievement section under PvP

15) Collections will receive with HoT alot new achievements based on all the Legendary Weapons that you can craft then/scavenge hunt for

16) WvW needs finally a complete Achievement Redesign, but surely will receive with the new Borderland also new achievements for that Map

17) PvP could also just receive finally PvP map related seperate achievements. anet has to go away from this permanent same Conquest Style PvP and make each PvP make feel alot more different, also in regard of its whole gameplay on the map, not just only by its environmental design, also SPvP needs more different play Modes which could add new achievements.
All vs All Last Man Standing, Codex Arena, Collosseum, Solo Duelling, Duo Duelling, Trio Duelling.

Personally I like the idea behind sub classes ~ quoted from Chris Whiteside

A-Net is playing the long game in terms of achievements. In my opinion, they want some of the radiant/inferno rewards or whatever comes after them to be something that keeps people in the game for years. So, even though they COULD put a lot more achievements in the game, they don’t want them to go by so fast that achievement chasing players stop playing because the players feel they have “won the game”.
