The ghosts bug me...
Uh. How would it look different? Chainmail back then pretty much looked the same as chainmail now.

Even if what Son of Elias said is sort of true, it bothers me also!
Fashion is cyclical. What the ghosts are wearing are in fact 200-year-old designs, which went terribly out of style about 100 years after the foefire and people wouldn’t be caught dead(!) in them. Now, however, it’s considered a hip retro look, and our intrepid heroes of the day are nothing if not hip, so they too sport these threads. This trend has also become quite popular in the youth fashion districts of Cantha where it is known as “fuofaiya.”
I just feel bad killing ascalonion peasants, they had a bad enough run in life, they were poor civilians, killed in a war they may not have even believed in, only to come back as a ghost and be hunted down and killed over over eternally.
So sad

Shouldn’t the ghosts haunt you and the bugs bug you?
But honestly, I don’t know what you mean. Most of the ghosts wear the dungeon armor from the AC catacombs, which is really old-fashioned compared to the rest of the armor in the game. To me, it looks like it belongs in GW1 and I barely ever even see anyone wearing it, probably because of how old-fashioned it looks.
I think it’s the girls running around in the short ruffly skirts that I notice the most.
The first time I ran into the ghosts, particularly the mages, I got all excited because I thought they’d be using the retro spells and skills from GW1 (like Firestorm, Fireball, and Meteor, etc). It’s a pity they don’t.
I have also winced a bit when attacking the peasants. :’(
Also, what’s with ghost cannons, trebuchets, and minions??

Think of it like this:
1. You can’t kill them
2. They are tired but can never rest – you are helping them get some R&R before Foefire pulls them back up again.
So you are doing them a service. Smack away!

How did I end up with two threads on this?!? Don’t let me post late at night or something.
Yes i agree, aesthetics make a huge difference, plus the clothing in GW1 was awesome..
