Who is she?

Searching the forums turned up nothing, so I don’t know if this has been posted before.

o_o she’s freaky and looks kinda out of place…. she resembles nothing i’ve seen in this game, nor in art style, nor in looks. Which intro cinematic showed you this? I mean what did you choose at character creation? (I’ve made several sylvaris with different character choices but don’t remember this lady)

I’m gonna guess that is an Anet staffer that was stuck in the cinematic during a transition as an easter egg of sorts.

Despite how freaky that is, thats a pretty neat find. I wonder if they thought anyone might notice such a thing! xD

You can see that when creating sylvari. I thought that meant to be the pale tree before they redesigned her.

Could it be a remnant of when the Sylvari where basicly just Elves (early dev cycle I guess)? They didnt become walking sallads until later.

If I remember it right from a wartower discussion, it is just a image from google which was used as a basis.

Some Sylvari encountered a Human cosplayer that was overly enthusiastic about our kind and dressed up as us during visits to try to fit in. That memory was mixed into the dream to give newborns positive feelz towards humanity.

Wow, thanks, well now it rings a bell. I thought that image appeared as it is in one of the intro versions. It doesn’t look nearnly as freaky the way it’s shown in the actual video but as someone else has already written – nice find!

Weird Fairy wings though o.O
It has to be a variation of the pale tree. The image gets closer to the water and her face, the screen then looks above, which also passes a tree, glowing with the rays of light.

If you “un-invert” it (aka make it back to normal), it kinda looks like the avatar of the tree.
