Can we get some sort of an official statement on the RNG chance of rolling precursors from the gear boxes compared to, say, rolling 4 75+ rares or exotics in the MF?

Are the chances the same? similar?

Pretty please? I just want to know if I should bother trying with the gear boxes. My luck is bad on the MF

What? I can get rares from 12 greens used and an exotic for about that much effort as well.

You could try both considering you have no real option of choosing one or the other. One costs gold, the other time.

I don’t think that you can get a precursor out of them at all.

As far as i’m aware they are “armor” boxes aren’t they? I don’t think they drop weapons at all.

The tooltip just says gear. At no point does it hint at it only being armor.
