So I’ve noticed that massive lag for everyone and mass dc’ing has been happening a lot more recently. It may not be a “press this button and plug this back in” to fix it, but please for the love of gaming do something about it. The performance of the game should go above any other aspect of the game.

I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say it’s not very fun to be in the middle of a dungeon or WvW or spvp when suddenly everyone starts to lag and then everyone dc’s. It’s especially not fun when you lose progress in a dungeon/fractal, or you lose golems or siege in WvW, or get booted from an spvp tourney.

^^ If youre going to do massive maintenance or w/e please start doing scheduled maintenance, would likely be better received than getting dc on 4th frac on a 50 run

Helpful to know it isn’t just me, was watching these boards waiting for a topic to pop up.

At one point every enemy on the map in Queensdale disappeared.

Looks like its NCSOFT over all may be another attk thing? Or there server are having problems.

I hate Twitter, but it seems to be the only place to find out from them what is going on.
Forums should be separate from the game servers so if the game is having issues then the forums can still be accessed and notices posted on the main forum page.

Bless this site. Yes it looks like NCSoft is being hit by a DDOS judging by what people are saying.

This is at least the 5th time something to this scale has happened in the last month. I don’t know what it is going on, on Anet’s end but this is ridiculous. Over the last several months your servers have become increasingly more and more unstable and there are more and more bugs creeping there way into the game with each patch. If this keeps up I find it hard to imagine you retaining your current population with a number of new MMOs on the horizon.

Yup, decided I wanted to go do my Dailies and then it said I couldnt log on, so decided to check forums, bingo bango

Well, I checked kitten trolling, doesn’t seem to be them this time.

Both I and my husband had trouble logging into the game.

And trouble logging onto the forum.

In game, in LA, first time in a long time the zone was.. cough.. “empty”.

Going through a portal in LA only had me literally go THROUGH the portal and land in LA on the cliff overlooking the bay.

Logged off and am looking at solitaire.

Game is totally unplayable. Log in, go to do daily, lag out and die. Mobs can hit me with no trouble but my skills just flash and do absolutely nothing. Time to find a new game!

It realty looks like these have been attks more then Anet’s end. If it was just GW2 then i would understand but its NCSOFT over all.

This is a problem with Scarlet and her Minions obviously.

I was at molten fractal (final one) at lvl 49. Almost finished, wiped due to this absurd lagg and then got kicked from the Fractal. What a disgrace.
No wonder everyone despises PVE.

One thing you guys need to keep in mind, this is not just ANet. It’s not just NCSoft. This has been happening with alarmingly increasing frequency all over the internet for the last few months. Google been running slow for you a few times? Well guess what.

Enjin’s been getting hit a lot, Sony’s been getting hit, as well as other MMO’s. This is not specific and ANet isn’t the one to fault here.

Not a lot that can be done with the sheer volume these god kitten script kiddies have been shooting at the internet lately.

If it is a DDoS attack, there’s very little they can do if the attacker really wants to ratchet up. Even DDoS mitigation services won’t solve immediately upon engagement AND still lag for latency-sensitive apps like a game.

Anyone elses framerate greatly reduced like mine? I usually get around 70fps and I’m getting 15-20

The Skritt must of slipped out of their little running wheels and got away.

Well just lagged out and got booted a second time >.> so that explains my framerate issues that I posted several seconds before I lagged out

Things seemed to be back to normal so some friends and I went into a fractal. As soon as we started mossman we got booted again… Sad day :c

Just got booted 3 times, Arenanet this is not a good thing to have.

Maybe we should stop spamming the log in button. I don’t know how these server troubles work, but if they are being attacked or having problems, all of us repeatedly logging in can’t be helping. Maybe?
