The mother of all updates?

Just a quick question; sorry if I’m posting this in the wrong forum.

It may seem a bit trivial to be bothered about (or bother anyone with), but I am currently in the process of downloading an update with an estimated size of 20 gigs. Seeing how that seems a bit bulky for a game update, my question is simple.

Did I miss an announcement of sorts, or did the game somehow uninstall itself? Or are pirate aliens highjacking my computer? Or is there anyone out there who can provide me with some kind of plausible explanation? Or should I simply have my harddrive take the pounding and sit it out like a hairy, hairy man?

It just seems… odd, that’s all.

At any rate: thank you for your time.

PS: Yes, I do check underneath my bed for big, bad game updates every night before I go to sleep. That will be all.

Something burped at your end because this last patch was only 50-60MB.

We are heroes. This is what we do!

Ah…okay. I wish. But in reality…something seems to be wrong as the update is definitely not that large.

Did this just happen or has it been ongoing with each update being bigger and bigger? If so I suspect you are starting your client with the repair switch on.

No, the mother of all updates belongs to the PC version of PSO2 update that wiped player’s drives a few days ago. What the OP is experiencing is most likely a corrupted drive.
